About the editor

Elise Bunter lives in Canberra, Australia, with her long-suffering husband and their wonderful son. She is an avid reader and supporter of speculative fiction, with a particular soft spot for good quality fantasy.

The Shadow Plays anthology is a professional and attractive labour of love printed by Griffin Press on top quality paper with excellent binding and featuring a professionally designed cover. It was created to offer established and emerging speculative fiction authors another publishing venue while also providing the reading community with a set of varied, interesting and challenging stories loosely united by the words "shadow plays". While there is no definite theme, authors were asked to submit stories that hinted at, related to, or were inspired by the title, Shadow Plays, as limited only by their imagination. And what imaginations they have!

Elise's previous editing experience in the fiction field has been informal. In an official capacity she has edited transcripts for the Australians at War Film Archive and various government publications. The editing side of producing Shadow Plays (as distinct from some of the administrative aspects!) was a joy, largely due to the talented and responsive authors with whom she worked.
